The Hawks Mowing Story!

Hawks Mowing was founded by Austin Hawksworth and officially established in 2023. The business was born from a desire for a career change following the birth of Austin's first child in 2022. Austin was working for a concrete company for nearly 10 years when he realized he wanted a career that offered more flexibility and a different lifestyle for his growing family.

He was working a job at a local water department when he decided to pursue his "larger aspirations". He remembered how much he enjoyed his high school summer job of mowing lawns and fields and decided to revisit that passion. With his wife's support, he started the process of recreating and revamping his old side job into a full-time venture.

The initial days were demanding. In the first year, Austin juggled his full-time job with about 20 residential lawn clients and 10-15 field mowing clients, often working evenings and weekends. He focused intensely on earning his clients' trust through unwavering reliability, never missing a scheduled mowing even when he was sick. This dedication solidified his commitment to the business, and from October 2023 to April 2024, he worked tirelessly to transition to full-time status, sending countless emails to companies and expanding his reach.
